Fueling
sorted and rev limiter raised at Chip Wizards rolling

Engine
finally together after dummy building, tuned for more torque. Block
painted a light colour for early fault detection.
Flywheel
lightened and crank balanced.
The
long guide on the left and the corresponding one in the head (not shown) were
worn out after 100,000miles, although the rest of the engine components were
very good.
Elongated
holes to swing cam timing into the correct position. Cams then
re-dowelled.
Bigger
5 stud hubs and larger bearings taken from E30 M3. Surprisingly powerful
calipers taken from 635CSi probably helped by weight loss. These calipers
are identical to the E30 M3 but have a 57mm pistons instead of 54mm.
BMW
Motorsport spent a bit of time developing the suspension on these cars for Group
N racing, so we started with a rebuilt set re-valved for our use.
Parallel
springs and strengthened anti-roll bar mounts.
Early
warning, safety systems and extra gauges fitted.
All
unnecessary items removed or lightened. Alpha-N box on the left and roll
cage tied to pillars.
Gravity
fed pump via. sump in tank on trial, no problems yet.
Bruvsmotorworks
bias braking pedal box.
Pedal
box very tight for space, cranked pedal to avoid skimming the steering column.
Bruvsmotorworks
engine mounts ensure a positively located motor, vibration free Via. hard
metalastic bushes.
Bruvsmotorworks
gearbox x-member with e36m3 mount help out the harder 635CSi mounts.
